The Think Like a Programmer course is the recommended first step if you have never written a line of code. Each course lists its prerequisites clearly, and most include several free lessons so you can test the difficulty level before buying.
How long does it take to learn programming from scratch?
Most people reach basic job-readiness in 9–18 months of consistent practice. The RadarTrek Dev Foundations track (10 courses) covers what most bootcamps teach in their first six months. Studying 1–2 hours per day you can complete the foundations track in 3–4 months, then specialise in AI engineering, marketing, or a SaaS stack depending on your goal.
Do I have to take courses in order?
The learning paths (Zero to Full Stack, AI Builder Track, etc.) give you a recommended sequence. Within those, there are genuine prerequisites — React requires JavaScript, Next.js requires React. But most courses in the Marketing and Founder tracks are standalone. If you are unsure, the free lessons in each course give you a quick read on whether the difficulty level is right for where you are.
What is the difference between the Dev track and the AI Engineering track?
Dev Foundations teaches the programming fundamentals that every software developer needs — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Git, and the full-stack tools (React, Next.js, Supabase). The AI Engineering track assumes you can already write code and focuses on using large language model APIs to build AI-powered products: prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, chatbots, multi-agent systems, and production AI engineering.
